What does God’s grace mean to me… definitely not ongoing forgiveness in the absence of transformation.

The movie Michael hit me like Sinners. It spoke to my soul in a way that made me question alignment, pressure, and spiritual direction.

If God is guiding my steps, the questions become…

Am I following His path or am I rerouting it?

What are the consequences of rerouting?

What does disobedience shift in the unseen?

The Jackson’s are talented, statement not a question. Michael was God’s gift to Joseph. Joe was simply a part of his path, a vessel. When you carry God given talent, I believe the only true limitation becomes internal alignment and nothing external can override what is ordained unless the self steps out of alignment.

“For the family…”

Joe knew Michael loved his family and, in my opinion, that love became leverage. Manipulation framed as responsibility.

The Pepsi commercial fire, when his hair caught fire, was in January of 1984.

He was 25 years old. I was 8 years old.

I remember thinking it was simple, just water, just done, just over.

Not so much, young Kish.

Medical records are not public information but it’s safe to truthfully say his head was on fire… his head was on fire… that impact was major.

The tour started in July of 1984.

His head was on fire in January 1984 then he toured from July to December 1984.

Mathematically speaking…

Six months later, still moving, still performing, still carrying what most people would never see/know/feel behind the scenes.

Google told me there were 55 shows.

His head. His crown. 55 shows.

The weight of that decision to tour so soon is undeniable in impact and trajectory.

I wholeheartedly believe everything is spiritual and everything has a deeper meaning… when God calls, you answer.

Disobedience carries consequence.

Pain became part of their family’s narrative.

Joe’s control & greed. Michael’s love & fear.

Fear of man almost cost him everything.

The movie made me wonder.

If Michael had the courage to face Joe or if safety had existed in that space…

What would his life have looked like if the Pepsi moment never became a turning point of pressure to tour vs pause to rest?

I’ll never know.
