My Instagram post:

Today, I pondered the question

If you’re the smartest person in the room, who do you learn from?

The more I grow in Christ, the more I realize how essential community is… Matthew 10:36 reminds me not just any community, but one rooted in faith, growth, and authenticity.

Wise Counsel says what needs to be heard, especially the criticism because the hard to hear truths offer room for growth.

I am so grateful for the people around me who are on their own spiritual journey, standing firm in their faith, and mentoring others along the way… who aren’t about status but are about being real, genuine and building something meaningful that reflects Christ’s love.

S2 Episode 4 https://youtube.com/@kolorflowconversations reminded me how much I’m a visual learner.

Behind the scenes Keisha shared that while reading the book of Mark, she thought of me: how Jesus taught in parables. What I heard: He connected spiritual truths with everyday stories. So what speaks to my soul? The real-life stories of survival, growth, and navigating life’s storms.

A two faced heart is made of grief and joy.

I’m thankful for sisterhood, for community, and for the chance to learn from others while teaching others as well.

My truth is I never want to be the smartest person in the room.

Ladies, know your assignment because you might just be the student and not the teacher.

Most times… at all times… we’re both.

Chapter 48 January 2025

As I reflect on the beauty of community and mentorship, I am reminded of how God designed us to be both students and teachers throughout our lives.

Jesus taught in parables, connecting spiritual truths into everyday life, our own lives serve as unique

testimonies. Romans 12:6 reminds us, “We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us.”  I believe there’s room for all of us to create, to teach, and to share our gifts… just as there are countless artists in the same genre, each offering something only they can.

Authenticity matters.

God placed a gift uniquely in you.

It’s something only you can bring into this world.

I believe often times the search for purpose becomes tangled with the desire for material rewards… the titles, recognition, and financial success.

While these things can come as John 10:10 says, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

Personally, I don’t believe the ultimate goal is material abundance… I think essentially all we’re looking for is to be free - don’t get me wrong money matters. My goal isn’t necessarily the bigger home it’s the land to build homes so my loved ones will always have a place to go… again, abundance matters… but the goal isn’t to chase the materials.

Sounds like it makes sense in my head, but I don’t know at the end of the day - I want it all for my loved ones and myself.

Peace of mind is a priceless freedom.

Matthew 6:33 reminds us, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” The real reward isn’t what we gain outwardly but the transformation that happens within when we seek Him with our whole heart.

When you feel called, chosen, or maybe just confused, wondering if you’re on the right path, remember that the journey begins and ends with Him. It’s not about striving to create or achieve.. it’s about surrendering and trusting God to reveal what He has already placed in you.

Listen to me clearly seeking Him doesn’t just give you clarity; it aligns you with His purpose.

His purpose.

I roll my eyes at His will not mine.

Geesh… free will can get your spirit killed! I spend a lot of time in the sunken place, that’s where my soul goes to die BUT GOD!

I just want to get it right, life… so I pray that God, my steps that my free will it’s always an alignment with His will, His purpose for my life.

I’m tired of the long suffering.

I read today

1) Lord put me in the right place at the right time and align me with the right people.

2) The more fights you win in the flesh the more you lose in the Spirit.

Ponder

When you walk in that alignment, you realize the greatest reward isn’t material: it’s the peace, joy, and fulfillment that comes from being fully rooted in Him.

God’s plan for you was never about competing or comparing but about uncovering the masterpiece He’s been shaping in you all along.

Seek Him first and everything else will follow in its time.

As both a mentor and a student, I strive to honor those who have poured into me, knowing that their teachings have helped shape my journey.

Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” This verse reminds me that the seeds of wisdom planted by those who have guided us remain, even as we grow and evolve.

Likewise, I pray to continue pouring into others with grace, recognizing that we are all artists in God’s creation, each with a unique light to share.

Growth is a journey, and when we embrace it with humility and gratitude, we reflect Christ’s love more fully.

I am thanking every single person who’s ever been in my life…

The Mustard Seed Room

On a small island nestled between mountains, there was a cozy cottage known as the Mustard Seed Room. It was named after the smallest seed because those who entered believed that great things could grow from the tiniest of beginnings.

One day, the owner herself walked to the room and thought I’ll teach the others something today. She had spent years gathering knowledge, studying scripture, and walking through both storms and sunlit paths.

She felt the energy when she entered, she paused. The room was alive with conversation, laughter, and earnest questions.

There was no hierarchy, no one competing to be the smartest. Instead, each person seemed to hold a seed, small truths they had gathered through their faith, trials, and triumphs.

One elder spoke of forgiveness and how it had mended their family after years of silence.

Another woman shared her journey through grief and how it had taught her to find joy in the smallest moments.

A young man spoke of how he struggled to trust God but clung to the promise in Matthew 10:36: True community must be rooted in authenticity and faith.

As she listened, she realized her own seed was growing. The truths she thought she carried alone were mirrored in others’ stories. She saw herself in their reflections, in their courage, their struggles, and their growth. That day, she didn’t speak to teach but to learn. She understood the beauty of not being the smartest person in the room.

By the end of the evening, I left the room with my seed still small but deeply rooted, watered by the wisdom of those around me.

The room taught her a truth that resonated in her heart: Faith grows best in community.

Spiritually Speaking,
