I Met My Younger Self… and Then My Future Self Walked In

I have been seeing this trend on TikTok where people meet their younger selves for coffee and reflect on their lives. In the trend, the younger self is late, but the future self is early. My truth… my younger self and I both still showed up late for tea.

Some things never change.

She sat across from me, eyes filled with wonder and questions. She thought she had to have it all figured out by now a degree and dream job but as I looked at her, I smiled, knowing she had already become everything she was meant to be.

I never finished accredited college, yet I built a career that sustains me beyond what I imagined. I have never had a long-term relationship, yet I have never lacked love. I have been so hard on myself, always chasing the next accomplishment, never pausing to see that I already have what so many pray for …including myself, my own answered prayers.

Then, just as I was reflecting on how far I have come, my future self walked in. She carried a peace I had never seen before, a quiet confidence that spoke without words. She was walking fully in alignment with God’s plan, no longer striving, just flowing. I could tell she trusted the process, embraced patience, and moved with divine purpose.

She reminded me that everything I had once worried about had already been worked out. The career was fulfilling, but not my identity. It was simply a platform, a resource, but never the source. My true purpose was always bigger than a title or a paycheck.

My life is dedicated to something far greater… to God, to spiritual work, to guiding others on their path, just as He has guided me on mine.

The love I once longed for was abundant in every form, because I had learned to receive it first from God, from within, and from the people He placed in my life. My life reflects His divine intention.

I saw joy in her, not because life was perfect, but because she had surrendered to something greater than herself. She wasn’t chasing validation, she was walking in purpose. She had stopped measuring success by the world’s standards and started defining it by how obedient she was to God’s plan. She understood that her gifts were not just for her, but for those she was meant to serve.

For the girls like me, the ones who feel unaccomplished yet have accomplished everything of the world, may we shift our focus away from the flesh and lean into the divine. May we trust that the future is already held in God’s hands and that we are walking toward something even greater than we can imagine.

Believe It To See It

God, help me see myself as You see me, not by worldly achievements but by the love, wisdom, and purpose You have placed in my soul. May I release the need to prove myself and instead rest in the knowing that I am already enough. Guide me to recognize the blessings I have overlooked and to trust in the timing of my life. May I walk in alignment with You, knowing that all things are working together for my good.

Amen.

My Prayer for Growth, Surrender, and Self-Love

Heavenly Father,

I come before You with a heart full of gratitude, knowing that every step of my journey has been guided by Your divine hand. Thank You for the lessons, the trials, the victories, and the quiet moments of reflection that remind me of how far I have come.

Lord, I pray for growth in every area of my life. May I never become so focused on where I am going that I forget to honor where I am. Help me embrace every season, knowing that each one is preparing me for the purpose You have placed within me. Let my heart remain open to learning, to healing, to evolving into the person You have called me to be.

You have chosen me, Lord not by accident, not by chance, but with intention. You have set me apart for something greater, something beyond what my mind can comprehend. Help me surrender fully to Your will, releasing the need to control, compare, or question the timing of my life. Let me trust that what is for me will never pass me by, and that every delay, every redirection, and every waiting season is part of Your perfect plan.

May I never fall into the trap of comparison, measuring my worth by the achievements, relationships, or journeys of others. Remind me that I am enough as I am, that I do not need to prove my worth or earn love, because I am already deeply loved by You. Let me walk in confidence, knowing that my purpose is uniquely mine, my path is divinely crafted, and my story is unfolding exactly as it should.

Lord, when doubt creeps in, replace it with faith. When insecurity whispers, silence it with truth. When fear tries to shake me, ground me in Your promises. Let me see myself through Your eyes that I am whole, worthy, chosen, and called for something greater than this world can offer.

And above all, let self-love be the seal upon this prayer not the kind that is rooted in ego, but the kind that is rooted in Your love. The kind that reminds me to speak to myself with kindness, to honor my boundaries, to nurture my spirit, and to walk boldly in my divine identity. Let self-love be the reflection of the love You have poured into me, a love that radiates outward and blesses those around me.

May I wake up each day knowing that I am enough. That I am growing. That I am evolving. That I am surrendering. That I am becoming exactly who You created me to be.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

For Those Reading This, May You Be Blessed

As you read this, may you feel the presence of God surrounding you with love, peace, and reassurance. May you know that you are enough, exactly as you are. May you embrace your journey without comparison, trusting that God’s plan for you is unfolding in divine timing. Whatever season you are in (growth, waiting, or breakthrough) may you find comfort in knowing that you are called and deeply loved.

We stand together in faith, surrendering our worries, doubts, and fears to Him. May we walk boldly in our purpose, anchored in His truth, and never question our worth. Let us seal this moment with self-love, knowing that we are fearfully and wonderfully made.
