Believe It To See It

Does faith open doors to abundance?

Have you ever opened the Bible randomly and felt like the verse you landed on was speaking directly to you? Some people call it coincidence, but I call it divine intervention or direction technically it’s called bibliomancy. That happened to me recently. I was looking for the book of John but ended up in Luke 10. My eyes immediately went to Luke 10:18, where Jesus says, I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Curious, I started reading the verses around it. ”Luke 10:17-20 and it opened my mind to so many thoughts about faith, authority, and the power we hold when we walk with God.

The first thing that struck me was verse 19, where Jesus says: I have given you the authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. That phrase stopped me in my tracks. Nothing will harm you. It’s as if God was reminding me that as long as my faith remains in Him and my name is written in heaven, I have nothing to fear. That alone is a game-changer. If nothing can harm me, then what do I have to lose by fully walking in faith? What do any of us have to lose?

Faith Over Fear

I think about how often people use the name of God casually Oh God or God, please without even thinking about the power behind it. Yet, Luke 10:17 reminds us that even demons submit in His name. There’s power in God’s name, even when spoken without intent. So imagine what happens when we use it with full belief and authority? It changes everything.

But what really stood out to me in these verses was how Jesus redirects the disciples excitement. They are amazed that demons submit to them in His name, but Jesus says, Do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven (Luke 10:20). That hit me hard. Our greatest source of joy shouldn’t come from what we can do through God, but from the fact that we are eternally connected to Him.

Testing Faith vs. Standing on It

For years, I struggled with faith. I was a see it to believe it type of person. I needed proof, evidence, signs something tangible to hold onto. But as I’ve grown spiritually, I’ve come to understand that the key to faith is believing it to see it. This shift didn’t happen overnight. Like many people, I went through phases of doubt, questioning whether God was even real. But as my connection to Spirit deepened and I began to pay attention to the synchronicities in nature, the prayers answered, and the peace I felt, I couldn’t deny it anymore: nothing is a coincidence.

A wise woman once told me I’ll never forget, better to believe in God than not to believe. Because what happens if you’re wrong? What if He’s real? I remember sharing on the podcast how that stuck with me. Why not test it out? Why not step into faith and see what happens? What I’ve discovered is that faith works not because I tested God, but because I stood on His Word.

Jesus showed us exactly how to do this in Matthew 4 when He was tempted by Satan. He didn’t argue, negotiate, or entertain the devil. He simply stood on the Word of God. That’s what I’ve been learning to do to trust what God says, even when I don’t see the results immediately.

Abundance Through Belief

This brings me to John 10:10, where Jesus says: The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it to the full. That verse is the key to abundance. Jesus didn’t come so we could barely survive. He came so we could thrive, live fully, and walk in His promises. And what I’ve learned through my own journey is that abundance starts with faith.

If abundance is tied to faith, then why not keep testing it?

Who is Your Spiritual Leader?

Yourself? Spirit? …is

Who is Your Spiritual Leader?

Do you remember what it felt like to be in school? Every day was a mix of lessons, tests, surprises, and maybe even a trip to the counselor’s office. Some days, you’d ace a quiz without trying. Other days, you’d stare at the clock in detention, wondering how you even got there. But no matter what kind of day it was, you always had teachers, counselors, or guides to help you along the way.

Now imagine life itself is a school, and we’re all students in Spirit’s classroom. Every challenge is a test, every success a gold star on our spiritual report card. But just like in school, we need someone to guide us, teach us, and help us pass the lessons set before us.

Picture this: You walk into class, feeling confident, only to be handed a test you weren’t prepared for. You scribble down your best guesses, but when the results come back—big red F. You’re frustrated, but the teacher leans in and says, “It’s okay. You can take it again.” This time, they walk you through the questions, give you the tools to understand, and help you try again. That’s what Spirit does—when we face life’s tests, we aren’t left to fail alone. We’re given second chances, wisdom, and grace. But we have to show up. We have to trust the Teacher.

Now, imagine detention. You’re sitting there, staring at the walls, replaying the choices that got you stuck. Then a counselor walks in and says, “Let’s talk.” They don’t shame you; they help you figure out a better way forward. That’s what happens when we let Spirit guide us. Life’s detentions—the moments we feel lost, stuck, or broken—become opportunities for growth.

And then there were parent-teacher conferences. Your parents would check in on your progress, talk with your teachers, and help you improve. In life, prayer is that conference—it’s where we check in with God, align with His wisdom, and get the encouragement we need to keep going.

Right now, my “school” is Spirit. Every test, every lesson, every challenge is part of my spiritual education. I used to try to teach myself, relying on my own understanding. But I’ve learned that having the right leader makes all the difference. When I fail, I get another chance. When I feel stuck, I remember even detention has a purpose.

So, here’s my question: Who is your spiritual leader? Are you learning from Spirit, or are you trying to pass life’s tests on your own? The teacher you follow matters. They shape your lessons, guide you through challenges, and help you reach your highest potential. If you don’t know who your leader is yet, take a moment to reflect. Because when you have the right leader, you don’t just survive life’s tests—you thrive in them.

Not in a “prove it to me” kind of way, but in a way that says, “I trust You, God. I trust Your Word. I believe You will provide, and I will see it unfold.”

Faith in Action

Here’s what I know for sure: faith works when you work it. When you believe in God’s promises and walk in alignment with His Word, things shift in your favor. I’ve seen it happen too many times to doubt it now. Even when the world feels chaotic, even when fear tries to creep in, I remind myself of Luke 10:19: “Nothing will harm you.” That’s my anchor.

So here’s my challenge to you: test it out. Take one step in faith. Trust God with something small—or something big. Speak His Word over your life and see what happens. If you’re right, and God’s promises are real, you’ll see the fruits of it. And if you’re wrong? Well, you’ll still walk away stronger for having tried. Either way, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

As for me, I’m choosing to stand on God’s Word and believe it to see it. Because every time I do, I’m reminded of just how real and faithful He is.

What are you standing on today? What step of faith will you take? Let’s see what happens when we believe before we see.
