A prayer for JB …our black sons our black men

Updated: Sep 27, 2024

Heavenly Father,

I come before You today, lifting up my son and black men across this nation. Lord, You know the struggles they face, both seen and unseen. You know the challenges that come against them, the battles they fight, and the dangers that surround them. But God, You are greater than every obstacle. You are the source of all strength, wisdom, and protection.

I pray that You cover them with Your mighty hand. Shield them from harm, both physical and spiritual. Protect their minds from lies that tell them they are less than or unworthy. Remind them daily of their worth, their power, and their purpose, for they are fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image.

Lord, guide their steps in a world that often seeks to limit their potential. Grant them courage to rise above the injustices they face, strength to overcome adversity, and wisdom to navigate every trial. May Your Spirit be with them, giving them discernment in their decisions and clarity in their vision.

Bless them with opportunities to succeed, despite the barriers placed in their path. Surround them with love, support, and mentorship from those who believe in their greatness. Let their gifts and talents shine brightly, and may their lives testify to Your goodness and mercy.

Father, we know that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, for You are their refuge. Lift them up, Lord, so they may be examples of perseverance, hope, and triumph. Empower them to be leaders, change-makers, and voices of truth in a world in need of justice.

I thank You in advance for the victories they will achieve, for the chains that will be broken, and for the mountains they will climb. In Your name, they will rise above every attack, known and unknown, and succeed beyond all expectation.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

As above so below.

As within so without.
